Carmen Carriero was barely in her 20s when she graduated in set designing at the academy of fine arts in Florence. When she moved in Rome,she specialised in cinematography,set,costume and interior designing.
She started her professional career working as scene assistant at the Manzoni theatre in Rome. She worked in many theatrical workshops in the Italian capital city,where she contributed as set designer in many theatrical plays.
In 2004 Carmen started working for “Cinecittà”film studio,here she took part in the pictorial and decorative constructions of film sets in American,Italian and French productions. She has also collaborated with famous architects and directors such as Ferretti, Tornatore, Avati and Benigni.
For many editions she worked for Italian networks,Mediaset and Rai,in many programmes:
Extreme Home Edition, The Big brother, The voice, Amici, L’eredità and Colorado café
She performs works as interior designer and paints paintings for commission using trompel’oeil techniques.With her knowledge,techniques and notions,she developed a distinctive feature for research. Carmen masters her own language different from the usual ones,this is thanks to her commitment to art and to what she assimilated through work and experience.
